Bordeaux: Up for Discussion

It’s not too late to join our special virtual seminar giving the very latest vinicultural update from Bordeaux.

This autumn in partnership with L’Ecole du Vin de Bordeaux, we are running two exciting and insightful webinars hosted by Harpers’ Editor Andrew Catchpole and Bordeaux Hot 50 Head Judge Richard Bampfield MW. These hour-long webinars feature a panel of winemakers and industry experts and aim to explore the modern trends being adopted in the vineyard.

Our second session, Modern Viniculture for Modern Wines is taking place on Thursday 9th December at 4pm, and will take guests on an exploration of viniculture, looking specifically at maturation methods, blending, no-sulphur and lower ABV wines, and how young, ambitious and creative winemakers are developing new styles in Bordeaux. There’s still time to join although wine sample pack orders are now closed. Click here on the day.

Our first session, Modern Viticulture for Modern Wines focused on the vineyards with Richard and the panel discussing modern viticultural and sustainable techniques, new grape varieties, parcel selection and the resulting fruit forward reds, whites and rosés being crafted to suit evolving palates.
