Chateau Mazeau, Bordeaux 2009
Tasting notes from our Le Wine Buff Erin McGrath:

A regional blend of merlot, cab franc and cabernet sauvignon. In the glass, it has a nice deep ruby color. On the nose, there’s a lot of earthiness, cherry and licorice. On the palate, it’s got tart cherry, with a little spiciness and black pepper. On the finish, it’s dusty and surprisingly complex. These wines are ready to drink now, no cellaring required, so will serve nicely as an everyday wine to drink with burgers or pasta. A fantastic value!
