The Terroirs

The Médoc and Graves terroirs include the AOC's of the Garonne's Left Bank. This covers a narrow 150 km long band of excellent soil for growing wine, composed of gravel and stones carried by the river from the Pyrenees Mountains. The soil is not very deep and warms up quickly in the sun, making this an idea spot for Cabernet Sauvignon. In fact, it achieves its best results here, resulting in Crus Classés that are valued like works of art. Ideally situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the river, an immense pine forest protects this vineyard from ocean breezes. Thanks to all of these elements, the AOC's from this terroir produce remarkable red wines that are powerful, complex, masculine, intense with incredible aromatic persistence.
