History
of the estate
Château de la Croix, a family estate since 1870, covers 32 hectares in the heart of the Médoc, between the ocean and the Gironde estuary. Classified Cru Bourgeois, it maintains artisanal know-how with manual harvesting and oak-barrel ageing. The château’s name comes from a historic cross at the village entrance, a landmark for pilgrims on the Way of St James. Today, the Francisco family combines tradition and environmental respect (HVE3 certification).
