History
of the estate
“The estate is located in Saint-Seurin-de-Cadourne, near Saint-Estèphe, in the northern Médoc, benefiting from the influence of the Gironde estuary. Soils are mainly gravel over clay/limestone, providing good drainage and favouring grape concentration. The vineyard has been planted for several decades (average age around 45 years for vines on gravel) and has focused on quality improvement since the 2000s. The estate’s style aims to marry tradition and modernity: controlled vinification and careful ageing in French oak barrels to express the terroir and provide strong ageing potential.”
