How to impress at your next apéro? We give you a few recipes and tips to help you create your own wine cocktail. The ingredients of the day? The fresh wines of Bordeaux: Crémant, Dry White, Sweet White, and Rosé!
First, a little history. Wine and cocktails go way back:


Some recipes to inspire you:
The 7:
- Infusion: combine 6oz of Bordeaux Rosé wine with a small handful of leaves of basil (crushed into your hand to release aromas), cut 3 strawberries into pieces. Add a pinch of sugar and stir to dissolve. Set aside for 30 minutes to 2 hours, strain.
- 2 oz infusion
- 2 oz Bordeaux Rosé
- 2 oz of tonic water
- Add all ingredients over ice and stir. Garnish with a strawberry or basil leaf.
Blueberry Mint Spritz:
- Tea infusion: Steep 1 bag of high-quality mint tea for 20 minutes in 4 oz of hot water. Remove tea bag and add a spoonful of honey, stir to dissolve. Set aside to cool.
- Muddle a few blueberries and a few sprigs of mint in a glass
- 1.5 oz of tea infusion
- A bar spoon of lemon juice
- 3 oz of Crémant
- Fill glass with ice and gently stir. Garnish with mint sprig.
Grapefruit Fizz:
- 3 oz dry white Bordeaux
- 1 oz fresh grapefruit juice
- ½ oz of rosemary simple syrup
- 1 oz sparkling water
- Add all ingredients over ice and stir. Garnish with grapefruit twist.
Bordeaux Twist:
- 4 oz Sweet Bordeaux
- Pour wine over ice
- Twist orange peel over surface of wine to release aromas
- Drop peel in the glass

- Determine your wine and flavor profile
- Select ingredients that enhance the wine’s aromas. Work with the characteristics of the chosen wine and/or add flavor levels
- Release your inner mixologist!
