This evening of winemaker camaraderie will be held Wednesday, April 10, at Bordeaux’s Musée d’Art Contemporain. The official fanfare for the new vintage will be open to the public!
More than 12,000 visitors will gather in the splendid Citadelle de Blaye to taste the best wines from some 80 Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux vineyards.
Located in the exquisite setting of the Gallo-Roman villa of Saint-Romain, sample over 24 sweet wine appellations from all over France, along with period entertainment and activities for all ages!
Festivites include fun workshops to sharpen your senses on wine aromas, along with demonstrations and musical entertainment centered on this year’s floral theme of the rose.
Right now you can enter to win bottles of wine from the 4 appellations, free passes to an introduction to wine tasting, or to a tasting of Saint-Emilion Grands Crus Classés!
Many châteaux are open 10 a.m.-7 p.m. with special activities scheduled, ranging from vineyard and winery tours to tasting sessions of Côtes de Bourg wines and local products…
The marathon is the chance for runners and their support teams from France (and anywhere else!) to explore the beautiful Blaye region and its lush vineyards.
The highlight of this event is Saturday’s tasting session, giving fans a chance to sample two vintages of more than 100 wines in the company of their growers, all while enjoying a unique and breathtaking view of the monuments of Bordeaux – listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The schedule includes the biggest classic car rally, themed tours, tastings, various workshops, exhibitions, vintage car outings, and the exploration of many fascinating historic sites.
Speakers, philosophers, scientists, architects, geographers and artists suggest new avenues of thought and field questions from the public during twenty presentations, meetings, debates and workshops on the subject of freedom.
Four loops of 20km to 80km make up the network of this unique “vinathlon” held across Arsac. Celebrations are held in the evening to honor the valiant contenders.
After crossing the vineyards and cellars of the most famous names in sweet wines, participants and spectators will gather on the beautiful Château Filhot grounds to learn about the region and its wines, guided by the winemakers.

The city's aldermen (jurats) will walk through the medieval city to the monolithic church, where international wine personalities will swear their loyalty to the wines of Saint-Emilion. In late afternoon, the Jurade climbs up the Tour du Roy and pronounces its judgment of the new wine.
Founded in 2006 by saxophonist Jean-Jacques Quesada, “Jazz and Wine” is an event held July through September that combines the best jazz with the most prestigious wine estates in Bordeaux.
This year twinned with the Trail de Salers, the Trail des Côtes de Bourg celebrates its tenth anniversary. All runners are invited to stretch their legs in a unique setting on one of two selected routes: 13 km and, for sturdier striders, 30 km!

Introduction to wine-tasting workshops, a big soiree with wine-tasting, dinner and show, and if you want to do some sport, a foot race of 10-20km throughout the beautiful landscapes of the area's vineyards! All the ingredients are reunited for a memorable weekend with the family or friends.
Wine and foie gras pairing workshops, a gala dinner on Saturday set in a grandiose setting, and tasty lunches will be offered during these two days! An ideal occasion to spend a fun time with family and friends.
You will discover the amazing oysters from the Bay of Arcachon and the dry and crisp wines from Entre-Deux-Mers, while participating in numerous activities such as orchestras, deambulations and bandas, sailor folk songs, exhibitions from local artists, fireworks, etc.
