Médoc: is located in the Bordeaux wine region of southwestern France, on the Left Bank of the Gironde estuary that covers the northern section of the strip. Known for: Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot based red wine! map

Château du Taillan: Dating back to the Middle Ages, the winery was acquired by Henri François Cruse in 1896 and it’s been a true family business ever since. Manager and daughter Armelle Falcy-Cruse had a chance to sit down with us and discuss running the winery. videowebsite

Château d’Issan: Issan is the wine that celebrated the marriage of Eleanor of Aquitaine to Henry Plantagenet in 1152. The winery motto: Regum Mensis Aris Que Deorum (for the table of kings and the abode of the gods) website

Château Margaux: The famous winery from Margaux. Thomas Jefferson, the United States ambassador to France at the time, described the hierarchy already established among the best wines of Bordeaux, with Château Margaux in first position. He placed an order of Margaux 1784 of which he wrote, ‘there cannot be a better bottle of Bordeaux’. website
